Rachel works in multiple print media including screen printing both posters and apparel, block printing and gel plate monoprints.
In 2017 Rachel was part of the AIGA Minnesota Design Impact Series Print Show composed of over 30 designers of color working in Minnesota. The theme of the show racial identity in Minnesotans of Color. The show was also picked up as part of Design Night at a First Thursdays event at the Minneapolis Institue of Art. Rachel's poster is screen printed and touches on the theme of microaggressions as a Filipino American who is indeed from Minnesota.
Rachel created this custom block print with a celestial and roller derby theme. "Eat the Baby" is the name of a strategic defensive play. The printed journals are for derby skaters to take notes on strategy and footage watching.
