Rachel designed this logo and promotional banner for a roller skate event held in summer 2020. The goal of the event was to skate together (with social distancing) and share a meal to show support for the Black community in the wake of the killing of George Floyd and subsequent unrest in Minneapolis. Donations were collected at the event to raise money for a A Mother's Love - a community organization in the Northside of Minneapolis. The wavy lines represented the flow one feels when roller skating as well as the two cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul that are neighbors supporting each other across the river.
